Description

The InterPro [1] ontology contains data on protein domains, families, and functional sites. InterPro annotations give information about the function, structure, and evolution of the domains. It combines several other databases (PROSITE, PRINTS, Pfam, ProDom, SMART, TIGRFAMs, PIRSF, SUPERFAMILY, PANTHER and Gene3D).
