GREAT has been tested and runs on:

• Firefox 3 on Windows XP, Mac OS X, Linux CentOS 5
• Internet Explorer 7, 8 on Windows XP
• Google Chrome on Windows XP
• Safari 3, 4 on Mac OS X

How can I make my browser work best with GREAT?

Internet Explorer

• To allow the download of table contents in TSV format, you must enable downloads:
  • Navigate to Tools > Internet Options > Security.
  • Choose Internet, then Custom level.
  • Scroll to the Downloads section and enable both "Automatic prompting for file downloads" and "File download".
  • Click OK on both dialog boxes.
• GREAT has known performance problems in Internet Explorer, where it runs much slower than in Firefox. With patience, it does work properly. In particular, you may see alerts like this:

  Stop running this script?
  
  A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly.
  If it continues to run, your computer might become
  unresponsive.
  

  Answer "No" to these to allow GREAT's JavaScript to continue creating or updating the page.

Google Chrome

Known issues:

• Altering the display by e.g. clicking on a column to sort it or filtering for a term causes the currently sorted column to widen.

Apple Safari

Known issues:

• P-Value columns may wrap, despite the fact that the Binom Rank column is overly wide.
